01Conformance status
We target WCAG 2.1 AA. As of the last audit, all 24 calculators and 9 content pages meet Level AA for perceivable, operable, understandable and robust content, with the exceptions noted below.
02What we have implemented
Specific measures in the current build:
- Semantic HTML landmarks, a skip-to-content link and a logical heading order on every page.
- Full keyboard operation of sliders, dropdowns, accordions, modals and tabs, with visible focus rings that meet 3:1 contrast.
- ARIA labels on every input, aria-valuetext on sliders so screen readers announce formatted values, and aria-expanded states on disclosures.
- Color contrast of at least 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text and UI boundaries, verified in both light and dark themes.
- Touch targets of at least 44×44 pixels on mobile and full support down to 320-pixel viewports.
- Charts have text alternatives: every donut, gauge and area chart includes an accessible name and a data table or numeric summary in the adjacent metric list.
- prefers-reduced-motion is respected — all animation and smooth scrolling is disabled when the user has requested reduced motion.
- No content depends on color alone; every status also carries a label or icon.
03Known limitations
The interactive area charts use mouse hover for tooltips. Keyboard users get the same information from the adjacent metric list and data labels, but the hover tooltip itself is not keyboard-reachable.
PDF exports generated by the browser print dialog inherit your browser and operating system accessibility settings rather than ours; heading structure in print output is simplified.
Third-party advertising content is outside our control. Ad slots are labelled and marked as complementary regions so screen reader users can skip them.
04Testing
We test with keyboard-only navigation, VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, NVDA on Windows, and automated axe-core scans in CI. Manual audits are performed quarterly.
